Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary VP of Engineering to lead our dynamic engineering organization in Vienna. This executive role demands a strategic leader capable of driving innovation, optimizing development processes, and scaling our engineering capabilities to meet future demands. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical vision, managing large-scale projects, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across multiple engineering teams. You will work closely with other executive leaders to align engineering initiatives with overall business strategy and product roadmap.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Oversee the full product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and beyond, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Manage the engineering budget, resources, and project prioritization.
• Collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to define product requirements and ensure successful market introduction.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and security best practices.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in an executive-level role (e.g., VP of Engineering, CTO).
• Proven track record of building, leading, and scaling high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep technical expertise in semiconductor design, embedded systems, power electronics, or related high-tech fields.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into technical strategies and execution plans.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• MBA or equivalent business leadership experience.
• Experience in a global organization, managing geographically distributed teams.
• Proficiency in German language.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and regulatory compliance within the semiconductor industry.
