Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Lettuce Farm Assistant to join our team in Emden. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about agriculture, sustainable farming, and contributing to the production of fresh, healthy food. As a Lettuce Farm Assistant, you will play a crucial role in various stages of lettuce cultivation, from planting and tending to harvesting and preparing produce for distribution. Full training will be provided.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist with soil preparation, planting, and transplanting of lettuce seedlings.
• Monitor lettuce crops for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies under supervision.
• Perform weeding, thinning, and irrigation tasks to ensure optimal growth conditions.
• Participate in the harvesting of various lettuce types, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Assist with sorting, washing, and packaging of fresh produce according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of farm equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Operate basic farm machinery and equipment safely after training.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
• Support general farm operations as needed.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 20kg, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of German or willingness to learn foundational phrases for workplace communication.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in farming, gardening, or a related agricultural field.
• Knowledge of basic plant care and cultivation techniques.
• Driving license (Class B) and access to personal transportation.
• First Aid certification.
