We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Hybrid Smart Grid Architect to join our pioneering team in Vienna. This critical role involves designing and evolving the architectural framework for advanced smart grid solutions, integrating diverse energy sources, storage systems, and demand-side management. You will be instrumental in defining the technical roadmap for our next-generation energy grid projects, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and develop scalable and secure architectural solutions for smart grid systems, including distributed energy resources (DER), microgrids, and grid automation.
• Lead the technical definition and selection of communication protocols, data models, and software platforms for smart grid applications.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures.
• Evaluate new technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for grid modernization and decarbonization.
• Ensure architectural compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and development teams.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, including design specifications, interface definitions, and deployment strategies.
• Participate in client discussions and workshops to present architectural concepts and gather feedback.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience as a Smart Grid Architect or similar role in the energy sector (minimum 5 years)
• Deep understanding of smart grid technologies, including SCADA, ADMS, OMS, DERMS, and AMI.
• Expertise in communication protocols relevant to smart grids (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC UA).
• Strong background in software architecture patterns, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and cybersecurity principles.
• Proficiency in architectural modeling tools and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Archimate).
• Experience with renewable energy integration and battery storage systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud architecture.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded systems.
