Are you a highly motivated university student with a passion for data science and a strong command of English? Join our innovative team at Roche as a Werkstudent (Working Student) in Data Science. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to apply your analytical skills to real-world challenges within the pharmaceutical industry. You will contribute to projects that leverage data to drive scientific discovery, improve operational efficiency, and ultimately make a meaningful impact on patient care. This hybrid role allows for a blend of on-site collaboration in Lachen, Switzerland, and flexible remote work.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and implement data models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists and other stakeholders on project execution.
• Support the documentation of data processes, models, and results.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong foundational knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning concepts.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python (with libraries like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) or R.
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Prior internship or project experience in data analysis or data science.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, ggplot2).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark).
• Understanding of pharmaceutical or life science data.
