We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sommelier to join our distinguished fine dining team. The ideal candidate will possess a profound knowledge of wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic pairings, coupled with an unwavering commitment to delivering an unparalleled guest experience. You will be instrumental in enhancing our restaurant’s reputation for exquisite dining, guiding our guests through our extensive wine cellar, and ensuring every pairing elevates their culinary journey.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Curate and maintain an exceptional wine list, ensuring diversity, quality, and appropriate pricing.
• Provide expert recommendations to guests on wine and beverage pairings, considering their preferences and menu selections.
• Manage inventory, conduct regular stock takes, and oversee proper storage and rotation of all beverages.
• Conduct wine tastings and training sessions for staff to enhance their knowledge and service skills.
• Ensure proper wine service, including decanting, pouring, and presentation, adhering to the highest standards.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and suggest harmonious beverage pairings.
• Maintain a clean and organized wine cellar and bar area.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues related to beverages professionally and efficiently.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• WSET Level 2 or equivalent certification (or demonstrable equivalent knowledge).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sommelier in a high-end fine dining restaurant.
• Exceptional knowledge of global wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strong organizational and inventory management abilities.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• WSET Level 3 or higher certification.
• Experience with menu and wine list development.
• Additional language skills (e.g., French, Italian).
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
