We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Loading Dock Worker to join our team in Sion. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods through our distribution center, involving significant heavy lifting and adherence to safety protocols. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Load and unload freight manually or using material handling equipment, often involving heavy items (up to 25 kg / 55 lbs).
• Sort and stage incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
• Verify product counts and check for damages, reporting discrepancies as needed.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely (training provided if necessary).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on the loading dock.
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg / 55 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Strong physical stamina and endurance.
• Attention to detail for accurate sorting and verification.
• Basic math and literacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Adherence to all safety procedures and guidelines.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical labor role.
• Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
• Valid Swiss driver's license (Category B).
