Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Naval Architecture Draftsman to join our hybrid team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex engineering specifications and designs into accurate and precise technical drawings for various shipbuilding projects. This position offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility, requiring your presence in our Gotha office for critical project phases and team meetings. You will work closely with naval architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure all designs meet regulatory standards, technical requirements, and project timelines. A strong understanding of shipbuilding processes and CAD software is essential.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans for ship structures, systems, and components.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to create accurate drafts.
• Prepare general arrangement plans, structural details, piping and ventilation layouts, and machinery arrangements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, classification society rules, and internal company guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with naval architects, marine engineers, and production teams.
• Manage and maintain drawing registers, revision control, and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, Rhinoceros) to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Assist in the preparation of material lists and bill of materials (BOMs).

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhinoceros).
• Strong understanding of naval architecture and marine engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding construction methods and materials.
• Familiarity with international maritime regulations and classification society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register).
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or technical diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Prior experience with ShipConstructor or similar shipbuilding-specific CAD software.
• Experience in shipbuilding or offshore industry projects.
• Basic knowledge of German language for local communication.
