Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Agricultural Machine Operator to join our team in Allschwil. This role involves operating a variety of heavy agricultural machinery, including tractors, combine harvesters, planters, and sprayers, to support our farming operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural practices, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for preparing fields, planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, as well as performing routine maintenance on equipment. This is a hands-on role critical to the success of our operations.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Operate heavy agricultural machinery safely and efficiently for various tasks such as tillage, planting, spraying, and harvesting.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Monitor machinery performance and make adjustments as needed during operation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including fuel consumption, hours of operation, and field conditions.
• Assist with general farm duties and manual labor as required.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Ensure proper care and storage of machinery and tools.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience operating heavy agricultural machinery (tractors, combine harvesters, etc.).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Valid driver's license (Category G or equivalent for agricultural vehicles).
• Knowledge of agricultural practices and crop cycles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Physical stamina and ability to work long hours during peak seasons.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Vocational training or certification in agriculture or heavy equipment operation.
• Experience with GPS-guided farming technology and precision agriculture.
• Familiarity with Swiss agricultural regulations and environmental standards.
• Proficiency in German or French is a plus.
