Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Art History Intern to join our remote team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the vibrant world of art history and museum operations, even while working from anywhere. The successful candidate will support various curatorial and research projects, contributing to the Städel Museum’s mission of art preservation and education. This is a 100% remote position, allowing flexibility and access to a global talent pool. You will collaborate with experienced art historians and museum professionals, deepening your understanding of diverse art periods and movements.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist curatorial staff with research for upcoming exhibitions, publications, and collection development.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of artworks, artists, and historical contexts.
• Help organize and manage digital image databases and archives.
• Prepare bibliographies, research notes, and summary reports.
• Contribute to the development of educational materials and online content.
• Support administrative tasks related to art history projects.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborative discussions.
• Assist with fact-checking and proofreading various museum texts.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
• Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Passion for art history and museum work.
